October 23, 15th anniversary celebration ceremony of Sino France 4+4 program was held on SWJTU campus, numbers of distinguished guests including of senior governmental officials and university presidents from Southwest Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Xi’an Jiaotong University, Ecole Centrale Paris, L'école centrale de Lyon, Central Nantes, Ecole Centrale de Lille and école centrale Marseille.
Sino-Franch 4+4 program was initiated by governments from China and France in 1996. Since then, through this program, there are 445 Chinese students have studied in France for their first two years study of French engineering diploma, and there are 85 French students have studied in China for their master’s degree. Since 2002, there are 335 Chinese students and 65 French students have received dual degree from this program. This program has been honored as an outstanding model for China-France cooperation.
