The research on key technology and application of friction property control of wheel - rail interface in railway transit is a national key R&D program intergovernmental key items for international scientific and technological innovation cooperation project among Southwest Jiaotong University and China Academy of Railway Sciences Research Group Co., Ltd. from P.R. China and Brno University of Technology and TriboTec from Czech Republic. This project aims to revealing the evolution mechanism and key influence factors of friction property on wheel – rail interface, developing the key technology, new products and equipment for controling the friction on wheel – rail interface in the complex environment, and completing the field application specification. The implementation of this project could accelerate the development of wheel-rail system maintenance technology in China and Czech, and provide an important demonstration role for the implementation of the "One Belt One Road" railway facility connectivity strategy.
