On the morning of November 26, 2021, Qiu Yanjun, director of the Strategy and Discipline Department, and Huang Qiang came to School of Mechanical Engineering to investigate the new round of "double first-class" construction. Professor Yuan Yanping, Secretary of the Party committee of the school, Professor Qian Linmao, dean of the school and other leaders of the school attended the meeting.
Dean Qian Linmao of the school reported on the discipline work of the school from three aspects: the current situation of discipline development and achievements in the 13th five year plan, the 14th five year plan and the "double first-class" construction plan, "double first-class" construction suggestions, etc. Qiu Yanjun fully affirmed the discipline foundation and achievements of the school and pointed out the direction for the future "double first-class" construction of the school.
Zeng Donghong and Ding Guofu, vice deans of the school, explained the site supporting, team building and other issues in the construction process. Yuan Yanping introduced the discipline layout and future development plan of the school, and hoped that the university would continue to support the discipline construction of the school and strive for the discipline of mechanical engineering to enter Grade A as soon as possible.
